You’ll need to be a British Citizen for security clearance.
You’ll be based at our Aldermaston or Culham site with one day a week off-site at college.

In your apprenticeship, you’ll build the foundations of a career that matters. During the Foundation phase, based at our Skills Academy, you’ll learn how to select and use tools correctly, manufacture test pieces, and carry out maintenance tasks in a simulated environment.
After around 18 months, you’ll move into the Consolidation phase, joining site-based Mechanical Maintenance teams where you’ll put your skills into practice in real-world settings, working on the equipment that keeps our mission moving.
This role could be a great fit if you’re naturally curious about how things work and enjoy solving practical problems.
You might find it especially rewarding if you’re interested in understanding mechanical assemblies, heating and cooling systems, and how rotating equipment operates and is maintained.
