Facilities Management Apprenticeship
Your mission
Our Facilities Management team plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and wellbeing, of both our buildings, and teams who work in them.
This team plays a key role in delivering our mission while ensuring we are compliant with government regulations.
Once you complete your apprenticeship, you’ll be going into a Facility Management role to support the business to use your learning and knowledge to influence and manage building residents, stakeholders and how we can make AWE better.
THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED
Five GCSE’s at Grade 4/C or above, and must include Maths and English.
An A-Level or equivalent Grade C or above is desirable.
WORK PATTERN
You’ll be based at one of our sites with one day a week off-site at college.
At AWE, we operate on a nine-day fortnight – meaning you get every other Friday off work in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.

Your journey
Through a series of placements within the Quality function, you will gain experience of the management and review of the companies processes and procedures and their use.
Using this experience, you will ensure we fulfil our contractual and regulatory requirements of our customers and stakeholders through quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and continuous improvement activities.
Once you’re done, we will support you in becoming Charter to the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) at practitioner grade.
