Manufacturing Engineers – New Product Introduction (NPI) & New Capability

Working within Manufacturing Engineering, these roles would be to help design and shape our future production capabilities to manufacture the UK’s future nuclear deterrent, using new and innovative technologies and processes.

Working in a highly regulated environment, alongside our design teams, technical experts and research centres. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to identify, develop and implement innovative ways of working, supporting production operations.

Location: RG7 4PR & RG30 3RR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Salary: £37,860 – £58,000 per annum + Allowance (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Manufacturing Engineers – Continuous Improvement (CI)

We are recruiting for Manufacturing Engineering to help design and shape the UK’s future nuclear deterrent using innovation and the latest technologies, processes and capabilities.

Working in a highly regulated environment, alongside our design teams, technical experts and Operations team, the role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to identify, develop and implement innovative ways of working, supporting production operations to delivering continuous improvement activities.

Location: RG7 4PR & RG30 3RR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Salary: £37,860 – £58,000 per annum + Allowance (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Electrical Engineer (Plant & Building Services)

Working within our Facility Engineering team, we are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer (Plant & Building Services) to deliver professional engineering services across our plant and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to apply your expertise to deliver engineering solutions during the lifecycle of our facilities and in return receive excellent training and development to help you further your career.

Salary: £37,860 – £52,000 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Configuration Manager

AWE is currently recruiting for a Configuration Manager for the Information, Configuration & Knowledge Management group.

Accountable for leading, coaching & developing a team at a local level to deliver team & personal objectives safely & securely to meet our operational plans. Also accountable to the Lead Configuration Manager for the successful delivery of a Configuration Management Service through-life and implementing AWE CM strategy across AWE.

You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Location: Reading

Salary: £48,250 – £70,000 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)


NTR Operations Specialist

AWE is currently recruiting for a NTR Operations Specialist within the NTR Operational Support Team.

This team maintain and provide the various assets used by the offsite response – equipment, vehicles, communications and the responders. The offsite response will deploy to live incidents and work with partner agencies to resolve crisis situations. Our prompt and effective contribution is critical to public safety, protection of property and national security. This team also support training and exercises.

Location: Reading

Salary: £36,640 £42,500 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Instructor/Trainer – Control and Instrumentation (C&I)

AWE is looking for an Instructor/Trainer – Control and Instrumentation (C&I) to join a team responsible for inspiring and leading our apprentices to a successful C&I career.

C&I is an enduring and key role required by the business to provide maintenance, installation and design of C&I systems to allow the programme to be successfully deployed. This group of engineers is of particular importance to the modern facilities in construction at AWE and their requirement for PLC and sensor control; C&I is amongst the UK scarce resource. The academy is the key provider of the competent workforce into the business.

Location: Reading

Salary: £45,250 £46,000 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)
