Manufacturing engineering
We are offering a unique and exciting one-year placement as Manufacturing Engineer – a role where you will make a genuine contribution to keeping the UK safe and secure. If you have a background in manufacturing, mechanical, general or integrated engineering disciplines, we’d like to hear from you.
Applied scientist
Nuclear Threat Reduction (NTR) supports the Government on a variety of national security issues related to radiological and nuclear materials. The work varies from fundamental and novel research to applied development of technology demonstrators. Application areas within NTR include detection of nuclear and radiological material, nuclear forensics, international treaty monitoring and verification.
Electronics engineer
As an Electronics Engineer (Science), you will make a direct contribution to the successful operations in the Trials and Test Technology Centre, where we conduct trials across mechanical, explosive and extreme environments. We also maintain capabilities such as the Orion laser facility. You will also gain knowledge and experience of industry best practice within the Electronics Engineer discipline.
