Your mission

£31,000 + BENEFITS | 2 YEARS | CMI QUALIFICATION FUNDED

The business and operational teams are at the heart of ensuring we deliver on our mission.

You’ll work across facilities, project management, communications, marketing and security.

You’ll build skills in cross-functional adaptability, gain real experience and be given the opportunity to explore what really sparks your interest and excitement.

Our work is of the highest national security so you must be a British Citizen to apply.

THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED

A minimum 2:2 in any degree discipline although STEM or Finance degree is desirable.

You must be able to join AWE in September 2026.

LOCATION: ALDERMASTON NEAR READING

You’ll be based at our Aldermaston site near Reading.

We work a nine-day fortnight. That means every other Friday off work + 270 hours of annual leave.

Your journey

This programme gives you the freedom to explore. You’ll rotate through different functions operational or corporate areas of the business to discover what really drives you.

From there, you’ll be given the opportunity to choose your placements in your second year. You’ll also work towards a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) qualification.

Throughout, you’ll find plenty of ways to get involved through regular events, spontaneous activities and the Recreation Society. You’ll also be assigned a buddy, a mentor and Evolve pathway lead who will help your transition into the business, provide pastoral support and work with you on your development journey.
