Ready to kickstart your career with purpose? Evolve is our flagship graduate programme designed to launch future leaders, innovators and change-makers.
You’ll be working on real projects that support the UK’s nuclear deterrent – think cutting-edge science, advanced manufacturing and planning infrastructure that’s shaping the future. We can’t spill all the details to you (top secret stuff), but trust us when we say that you’ll be working on some of the most unique projects in the country while working with the most respected experts in their fields.
This is a two-year scheme with placements across the business, providing hands-on experience across the pathway you choose, whether it’s Engineering, Science, Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ), Human Resources (HR), Project Management or Corporate and Operations.
We keep things flexible so that you can tailor your journey within a particular area. But we don’t mess about with career development; you’ll get leadership, business and ‘soft skills’ training like communication or presenting. We will also support you towards professional registration like Chartership.
Believe us when we tell you that this is more than just another graduate scheme. We offer a lot and that’s because we ask for a lot from you; we want you to be empowered to bring your energy and brilliance to work every day and fulfil your potential.
We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and aren’t afraid to ask questions when things don’t quite make sense.

Why Evolve?

Build your career as future leader
Our focus lies on a number of key themes such as: ‘self and team awareness’ – providing an opportunity to better understand your own strengths and how these could contribute effectively to collaborative situations.

Create your network
Our early careers community is full of energy, connection and opportunity. You’ll find plenty of ways to get involved through events organised by our ERGs , spontaneous activities and the Recreation Society. It’s a space where you can build relationships, share experiences, and enjoy life beyond your role.

Continual support
You will be supported by a dedicated line manager and Evolve pathway lead who will help your transition into the business, provide pastoral support and work with you on your development journey.
You will also be assigned a buddy, usually a fellow graduate from an earlier year, to show you the ropes.
