We’re pleased to announce that two of our Early Careers colleagues have been shortlisted for prestigious National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) awards.

NSAN helps individuals and organisations in the nuclear industry realise their ambitions, develop their understanding and build effective networks for the betterment of the industry. It represents a diverse community of SMEs, supply chains, and major industry players, all united by professionalism and a dedication to collaboration. As members, we appreciate their support of the national endeavour and UK plc.

Harpreet, an Electrical & Electronics Evolve Graduate is shortlisted for Graduate of the Year (Science and Technical) and Matthew, a Mechanical Maintenance Craft Practitioner is shortlisted for Advanced Apprentice of the Year. Both work in One Engineering.

“I am genuinely shocked and deeply honoured to be nominated. When I applied, I never imagined I would come this far. I am very grateful for the support of my mentor, line/placement managers, Early Career staff and friends (the list could go on and on) who have been with me every step of the way.”

Matthew said: “I know it’s a cliché but I’m just so grateful to all the people who have been involved in my development, from the trainers in the Skills Academy, my pastoral care manager, my workplace assessor and my onsite mentor… they all know who they are.”
