The Engineering and Safety Directors Forum (ESDF) awards are run jointly by the Defence Nuclear Enterprise (DNE) and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) focused on celebrating talent in engineering and safety. ESDF brings together nuclear executives to promote learning, agree key industrial strategy and makes sure the industry constantly improves.

AWE continues to play an integral part in the national endeavour to help keep the nation safe, working at the highest standard of engineering and safety.

Kayleigh, an engineer at AWE, was celebrated for demonstrating outstanding technical achievements of value to Defence Nuclear Enterprises. She was also judged on her professionalism, integrity, communication, problem solving and leadership skills and showed agility, boldness, collaboration and simplification attributes in the award entry.
