COVID-19 Update

The government has classified AWE as a critical organisation in the delivery of key defence and national security outputs. This means that a number of employees have critical worker status and will continue to come to work. Critical worker status has also been confirmed for a number of our essential supply chain partners.

Strict measures are being taken on our sites to keep these people and their families safe by reducing personal contact and observing a number of restrictions. Those staff who can work from home will continue to do so.

We are monitoring the situation very closely and taking all necessary precautionary measures in line with the latest government guidelines issued by health agencies and other bodies. The health and safety of all citizens is our highest priority. There are robust business continuity plans in place across the business to respond to COVID-19 and this includes prioritisation of resources and facilities to deliver our critical outputs.
