AWE staff raise big slice of cash for Macmillan

AWE employees raised £5,024 for Macmillan cancer support with a baking bonanza, in support of the charity’s world’s biggest coffee morning.

The total included a £500 contribution from the AWE Charity Fund.

Eighteen teams swapped labs and computers for mixing bowls to roll up their sleeves and produce an amazing selection of posh patisserie. Colleagues were happy to donate in exchange for a variety of gut-busting treats – in the interests of charity of course.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People and organisations all over the UK host their own coffee mornings and raise millions in donations for Macmillan.
