AWE supports Silchester Primary School’s budding librarians

Silchester Primary School pupils are enjoying their refurbished library, which includes a new bookcase funded by AWE.

School Librarian, Eve Rynott, said: “Thank you to AWE for this invaluable support which has enabled us to buy a new bookcase. Our science books are now displayed prominently for all the children to enjoy”.

As well as making the most of the library’s welcoming atmosphere and wide range of books and learning resources, several pupils have been chosen to act as class librarians by their fellow students. Year Six pupil Logan said:

“I like being a librarian and helping everyone with the books. I especially like reading the science books and want to be a scientist or astronaut when I am older. I want to study black holes”.

AWE donated £500 towards the refurbishment of the school library.
