Calling all budding artists!

AWE has launched a primary school competition in support of World Environment Day, Monday June 5.

Schools are invited to submit posters (one for key stage one and one for key stage two) on the theme of ‘How I Can Make a Difference to the Environment’.

The posters could include aspects of reducing waste, recycling, saving energy, reducing motor transport, protecting and promoting nature.
Key stage one and key stage two posters will be judged separately and there are first, second and third prizes to be awarded in each category.

Competition Rules:
*         Posters to be A3 in size
*         Each school may submit two posters (one poster for key stage one and one for key stage two)
*         Posters may be produced by groups of children or individuals
*         The school name, key stage and name(s) of children who have produced the poster should be provided with each poster
*         Posters to be submitted by email to wedposter@awe or by post to Dr Tina Absolom, Building F6.1, AWE, Aldermaston, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 4PR by the 24th May (where appropriate school representatives may assist with collection)
*         Posters may use any style or medium (including drawing, painting, collage, etc.)
*         Posters will be judged by employees during the AWE Environment Day exhibitions on June 5th-7th 2017
*         Winning posters will be displayed in Tadley Library following the competition
*         Winning schools and pupils will be invited to a prize giving where publicity photographs may be taken
